Built c.1900 (carrying Viewforth over the Union Canal). The keystones bear the arms of the cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Carved on this bridge are a castle over the keystone on the E and a tree with a fish on the W. These are the symbols of Edinburgh and Glasgow, the Glasgow and Edinburgh Union Canal being the original full title of the canal.

This bridge is clearly visible on the 1st Edition of the OS 6-inch map (Edinburghshire 1855, sheet 2).
