Field Visit (14 March 1950)

Enclosure, Brownmoor Glen (NT 460 261).

This enclosure lies on level ground on the right bank of the Hartwood Burn, 500 yds SSW of Brownmoor farmhouse and at a height of 670ft OD. It is circular on plan, with a diameter of 100ft, and is surrounded by an earthen bank 10ft in width which stands 2ft in height. A farm-track, running from N to S beside the burn, goes through the enclosure, which has no appearance of antiquity.
