NT46SE 9 c. 491 615.

A Late Bronze Age socketed axe, which was found about 1875 on Windy Law (name: NT 491 615), Stobshiel, was donated to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland [NMAS] in 1920 (Accession no: DE 82).

J A Smith 1882; J M Coles 1962; Proc Soc Antiq Scot 1921.

(Socketed axe: Roseberry Topping variant of Sompting type). Single find. Socketed axe, corroded, green, scrach marks; length 84mm, mouth 29x35mm, cutting edge 56mm, weight 245 gms. NMAS DE 82.
