Note (1956)

Urn-Burials, Chesters Glen (Site).

In 1897 three Bronze Age Cinerary Urns and a quantity of calcined bones were found at the top of the N bank of the Chesters Glen some 70ft above the burn (J Duns 1897, 200-1). Two of the urns stood on flat stones, while the third lay on "a very rough pavement of small broken stones". One urn and a number of bones are preserved in the Hawick Museum.
