A fort stood on Doon Hill (NX 068 447) but it has been levelled by ploughing and no trace of it now remains.

Name Book 1848

No trace of any feature can be identified either on the ground or on APs.

Visited by OS (RD) 27 January 1972

The Name Book notes the former existence of an earthwork on Doon Hill, but by 1847 it had been levelled by cultivation.
