NMRS REFERENCE

Immediately W of MacLellan's Castle (NX65SE 28) is a house of two storeys which is said to have been the town house of the M'Cullochs of Auchengool. The house, which is oblong on plan, was probably built in the 17th century. It now presents no special features of interest.

RCAHMS 1914, visited 1911.
