Field Walking (July 2015 - June 2016)
This feature was originally identified during a pre afforestation survey undertaken in 1992. Field survey undertaken in July 2015 identified a recumbent rectangular stone measuring 1.1m long by 0.2-0.45m wide by 0.2m thick. This stone had been covered over by felled trees when it was revisited in June 2016. It is depicted on the 1857 Ordnance Survey map where it is annotated ‘Standing Stone’.
