OS 25" map (1900)

On 23 October 1448 a Scottish Army under Ormond and Sir John Wallace of Craigie won a resounding victory over the forces of the younger Percy, at the Battle of Sark or Lochmaben Stone (Auchinleck Chronicle).

There is nothing to mark the site of this battle on the ground and no further information could be found.
