The township of Barrglas, comprising six roofless buildings, one of which is a long building, with a head dyke to the W, is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyllshire 1874, sheet xcix). There is a generalised depiction of the ruined township on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map.
