Listed as fort and palisade. Native artifacts recovered by excavation include flint flakes, core and knife, whetstones, saddle and rotary querns, whorl, glass bracelets and pottery. Roman finds include bronze terret-rings, button, ring, brooch and studs, lead plumb-bob, ingot and glandes, pottery, stone ballista-balls, iron arrowheads and sword, coin, glass beads and stud. These are now held in the National Museum of Scotland and Dumfries Museum.
