Note (11 April 2016)

The college buildings were adapted for use by the Royal Navy during the First World War as the headquarters of the Inverness Naval Base. A series of photographs in the Captain HFS Rowley collection (Senior Naval Officer, Inverness) held by the Imperial War Museum show headquarter staff, lorries and vans, and a parade outside the building.
