NO46SW 12.01 44910 61552 Farmhouse

(Location cited as NO 449 616). Wheelhouse, Mains of Ogil, early 19th century. A detached rubble building, with a corrugated-iron roof, containing an 8-spoke, low-breast shrouded paddlewheel, with iron rings and axle, and wooden spokes and paddles. The wheel has a rim gear with 256 teeth, which drove a barn thresher (now removed) through a 44-tooth pinion and an undferground shaft.
