Nothing can now be seen of the gas works which is depicted on the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch maps (Stirling-shire 1864 and 1899, sheet xxxv) as well as the revised edition of the same map (with a larger range of buildings) (Stirlingshire 1922, sheet xxxv, revised 1913-14). The site has recently been landscaped.
