Roofed building here.

OS 6" map, Caithness, 1st ed., (1873)

ND 3935 6832. A mound, 21 by 20.5m by about 0.5m high, containing the remains of a structure of unknown period, is an unploughed area in an arable field. The remains of the walling are substantial on the seaward (S) side of the mound.

C E Batey 1982.

The mound at ND 3932 6830 is generally as described by Miss Batey. Although stone is visible in the mound it is not certain whether it is the vestiges of a wall. The mound is likely to be the remains of an old croft or stone dumping.

Visited by OS (J B) 11 May 1982.
