Accessing Scotland's Past Project

Probably built in the late eighteenth century, Nos 30-32 is a three-storeyed tenement block that stands on the corner of The Square and Roxburgh Street. The ground floor of the building has been altered, probably in the late nineteenth century, to create shop premises with a central door giving access to the flats above. The upper floors have been rendered, with the Roxburgh Street gable lined out to resemble ashlar masonry. The upper-floor windows are arranged in three pairs, while the attic is lit by a pair of dormer windows.
